Re: Olympics
The way that torch folded was amazing and brilliant. I didn't watch the re-lay teams, missed that one. Our men's hockey team didn't do well either, they started off alright but they did have tough opponents in the second and third rounds. Think they have to practice a lot more to get it right for Rio.

Re: Olympics
Yes agree its all the pop and dancing that to me made it all cheap. I would have liked it to have been more sophisticated. John Lennon gave it some sophistication. I thought whoevers Idea of the torch was brilliant, how it folded down to be extinguished, now that I didn't miss, yet I dozed off a few times throughout, due mainly to the non stop pop and dancing, just gave me a headache really. But I had to see it through to the end.
Yes we done very well, not only with our Golds but all medals achieved. I think two British re-layers let us down with handing over, or rather not handing over there batton.

Re: Olympics
Yes but didn't they all do well, 29 gold medals and we came third in the table.
Was disappointed with the closing ceremony, as I think were most people apart from those taking part who were obviously having a whale of a time. We do so well at the lighting and choreography but why did we have to have pop/disco music. The most memorable opening bit would definitely be the Queen and James Bond, that bit was brilliant. Nothing in the closing stands out at all, well, one bit, John Lennon singing Imagine, rather liked that bit myself.

Re: Olympics
It would certainly be nice if we got more, but if we dont, think we can hold our head up mighty proudly for what we have achieved. We were late starters but we are sure making up now.

Re: Olympics
Andy Murray is through to the final on Sunday to play Federer for a gold or silver. Andy played great tennis and deserves to win the gold if he can beat Federer.

Re: Olympics
I have just watched Federer play for 4hrs and 36mins, longest match in Olympic history - excellent tennis from both players. I know it's not team GB, but I do like watching the tennis regardless of who's playing. Murray is on centre court this evening, so will watch that one, hope he pull it off.

Re: Olympics
Just having a look at the tennis - Roger Federer is playing, that man is so cool.
We are now 5th in the Medal Table, team GB are really doing well.

Great news, our first gold. Well done to the rowers. My husband's cousin's grandson is playing in the men's hockey and we have been watching that, it's on again this afternoon, they are doing well too.

Olympics
Well it's two days to go before the Olympics starts. Think it's going to be a shambles trying to get there by car, and all those arriving at Heathrow or Gatwick, don't fancy their chances of getting through quickly either. It's alright for the big wigs though, they get driven there and have a special lane whilst the rest of the public will be stuck in their cars. I for one, will not be going, will sit and watch anything of interest on the TV.
